This is a wonderful, original and nearly perfect example of the RCA Victor model 66X3 tube radio made in America.  It is a fully functioning radio with original componentry except for any items found defective which were replaced.  The case and other parts have been thoroughly cleaned and polished but not refinished.  This is an ORIGINAL 1946 finish right down to the Zebra pattern grill cloth which shows some modest wear - BUT extremely presentable.  There isn't a better example out there!!
 
The chassis was removed from the case and everything was well inspected, cleaned and tested.  Any defective capacitors were replaced, any resistors out of specifications were replaced and any weak or dead tubes replaced.  The panel lights were replaced, all controls and moving parts have been cleaned and lubricated.  They all respond well. The pressboard back is not present.
 
This radio is factory equiped with a phono jack.  It can be used to connect an external device such as your phone with the proper cable.  Please contact me for assistance with purchasing and installing this cable.
 
All frequencies work well in my home town in Virginia with the use of an external antenna connected to the back.
  
Nothing has been done to this radio that is not described here.  THIS IS NOT A FULLY RESTORED RADIO but rather an original vintage item that has been inspected and repaired as necessary to make it functional.  As with all of my radios, I have played this radio for hours several days a week before I put it up for sale.  I do my best to describe every item in detail.  Please look over the photos and contact me with any questions. As with any old tube radio, this should not be left unattended or played for long periods of time.
