"I have purchased quite a few radios from Tom at Old Radio Garage and have never been disappointed.  They are all beautiful inside and out.  He ships them out quickly and makes certain they sound great. Tom always ships them out very quickly and makes sure that they are very well packed to survive the journey. Tom's prices are very fair and I'm extremely happy with all of the radios I've purchased from Tom.  I do plan to purchase more and would not hesitate to send them to Tom for any repairs needed. Tom provides a great service at a great price and is 100% honest.  Tom is definitely a 5-Star review for me! "

"Occasionally, expertise, enthusiasm, and talent blend to create someone who becomes recognized as a master in their field; whether in the arts, technology, or the breathing life back into artifacts from the past so they may be enjoyed today and preserved for future generations.  Tom Gress is that person in the preservation of antique radios.  The preceding is confidently expressed due to Tom's bringing back from the dead, a 1959 Telefunken Opus 6 table radio. The sound is indescribable.  Deep, powerful bass.  Sharp trebles.  Voices that resonate with preciseness.  There is nothing comparable to listening to music and sports on a correctly operating table radio.   If you’ve found his website and are considering purchasing a classic radio from Tom or having him return your radio to its former glory, do so!  It will be among the best decisions you will make and result in the acquisition of a piece of history providing listening enjoyment for many, many years".

"I contacted Tom about a vintage radio on his website. He told me about another one he was working on that I might like. It's a 1958 Telefunken Gavotte. I told him I was interested in it. I grew up with a small Telefunken console and have always hoped to get another one. He kept me updated as he worked on it and sent pictures of any imperfections (patina). It was packaged very well and made it here with zero issues. The radio completely exceeded my expectations. It is a fantastic looking and playing radio. Tom repairs and restores his radios like he is keeping them for himself. His attention to detail is amazing. I also sent him a 1954 GE radio for repairs. Tom did another incredible job on it. It plays and looks better than is has in the years I have owned it. Tom's prices for both radios were very fair. I highly recommend Tom for either buying or repairing vintage radios".

I contacted Tom regarding a Norelco radio from the late 50s that had been in my family for decades. There had been a catastrophic burn to a portion of the cabinet. Tom was able to magically restore the cabinet using parts from a similar radio. Tom is truly a master at what he does. Our family listens to the radio frequently and it brings us much joy. Tom was great with communication and packaged the radio perfectly to arrive good as new.
